Run Modes
After installation, you need to start the server. The app can run in two modes.
A service is a background process in Windows that starts together with the system and needs no action from you.
This mode is the better choice if you do not need to watch server errors and logs. We recommend it.
You can install the service at any time in the configuration tool. To do this, run ConfigurationTool (on the server PC, at C:\Program Files\NETProjects\Gizmo Server\tools\configuration) and go to Gizmo Service Management.

Sometimes Windows asks for user credentials to manage the service. In that case, turn on Advanced mode and enter the login and password you use to sign in to your Windows account when the PC starts. If you have no password for signing in, create one.
Console mode means you start the server manually as a console. In this mode, the server does not start automatically with the system. This mode is good for collecting errors or for running the app once.

You can start the server as a console with the desktop shortcut or from C:\Program Files\NETProjects\Gizmo Server on the server PC.
Please use this mode if our support agent asks you to run the server in console mode.
